The Raft

Wood is gathered, collected, and tied together to make a raft, which becomes the workers’ home as they float down the great Irrawaddy river to the port of Rangoon. There, they disband the raft, well the wood, and take the bus back home.

The sacred volcano that the people of Bali believe to be the mother spirit of their culture, is also the source of much of the water that irrigates the beautiful terraced rice fields. Gunung Agung is usually covered in mist and clouds, and often is barely visible at all.
